The Fireball Run Adventurally involves 40 driving teams competing in a 2,000 mile life-size trivia pursuit game. To move about the country and score they must solve trivia based on points of interest and geographical locations, all while aiding in a massive effort to recover America's missing children.

The 2014 rally, "America's Frontier," began Sept. 27 in Frisco, Texas and concludes on Saturday (Oct. 4) in Independence, Missouri. Among the entrants are Team Space Coast (no. 02):

Astronaut Jon McBride, Shuttle Pilot for Atlantis and now Director of Astronaut Education at Kennedy Space Center; Bonnie King, Director for Film and Special Events for the Space Coast tourism office.
Before the race ends, you can vote for Team Space Coast for the People's Choice Award (McBride and King are currently in seventh place).

The 2015 Fireball Run has the theme "The Space Race" and runs from Hartford, Connecticut to Florida's Space Coast. Teams for that race will again include McBride, as well as astronauts Wendy Lawrence, Rakesh Sharma, Marcos Pontes and Rodolfo Neri Vela.

All times are CT (US)
