alanh_7 Member Posts: 1252 From: Ajax, Ontario, Canada Registered: Apr 2008	posted 09-08-2014 04:22 PM I just heard that Hoot Gibson blew his engine today in the Hawker Sea Fury "September Fury" and is sadly out of the Unlimited class again at this year's Reno Championship Air Races. Sorry Hoot.

Bill Destifani in the P-51 Strega beat out Steve Hinton in the P-51 Voodoo in the third heat by less than a foot only to be disqualified for not maintaining proper altitude on the race course.
