Alan/AJ -thanks for your comments.I know Bobby was very seriously ill. His wife commented on the cost of medical care/lack of insurance, but I would happily have helped with a voluntary contribution and I know the space community would have helped out — if this had been requested. Sequestering my funds without asking, however, is theft. It's a shame that circumstances like these can force good people to behave badly. |

Well said Paul. This hobby is often based on trust, co-operation and relying upon the reputation and good will of others. When that trust is violated it leaves a rather sour taste for all and hurts the hobby. Someone else's money is just that, no matter the circumstances — and I feel sorry for the circumstances they face caused by this accident — the money in question is yours and should be repaid. | |
