His face is well remembered, though not so much his name. Veteran character actor John Quade has died at 71. He appeared in many TV shows and films, including four with Clint Eastwood.All of the obituaries I've read says that Quade was once an aerospace engineer. From the LA Times - Born John William Saunders III on April 1, 1938, in Kansas City, Kan., Quade arrived in California in 1964. "He got involved in missile and aerospace for awhile," said his wife. "He built parts that are still on the moon." I've checked the web using both names, Quade and Saunders, and can't find anything else about this. Does anyone know when and where Quade may have worked? I'm assuming he worked somewhere in California since he was there in '64 and his acting credits began in '68. | |
