I have a couple of very obscure requests, that the readers of collectSPACE may or may not be able to help me with. Here's hoping ...I was 12 years old when the "Stowaway To The Moon" made-for-TV movie aired on CBS. It fired my interest in the space program, but I've not seen the show since childhood. Would there be anyone out there who has a copy? According to the Internet Movie Database, Pete Conrad had a cameo in the movie. Also, on April 28, 2000, I attended a Los Angeles Dodgers game in LA and caught a foul ball in the first inning. A nearby fan who had a hand-held TV said that none other than Vin Scully said that I'd made a great catch ... So ... anybody have the game on video? And my next question would be ... if you do ... WHY do you have it??? If not, would anybody have any suggestions on how I could find a tape of the game? Thanks for any help ... |

Have you called the Dodgers? I'd start with their media relations folks and work from there. |

Well ... it actually WAS a pretty good catch. The second batter of the game for the Florida Marlins, Alex Gonzalez, fouled a pitch over our heads and it bounced off the concrete facing of the deck above us. It caroomed back to me, and I caught it on the fly ...The very next week, by the way, I caught another foul ball -- also on the fly -- at a Richmond Braves minor league game. I was immediately asked to go buy lottery tickets for friends who'd been to both games!!! |
