During his book reading and Q&A at The SpaceStore today I noticed that Walt had black cowboy boots with the Apollo 7 patch worked into the front and a white WC on the side. You can only see the decoration when he sits. Of course I forgot to ask him about the boots when he was signing my book, assuming he would even divulge any details anyway, because they end up on a forum like this . Does anyone know about astronauts with similar boots?
