The seller assures me this Fred Haise autographed envelope is an original but I have my doubts. It appears to match a common autopen pattern from the popular website. It also appears to have the tell tale blotch spots at the start and finish. The seller is very convincing so I thought I'd better ask for a second (or third) opinion. Lately I have been attempting to hone my skill in identifying autopen patterns. I admit to be a novice at best. |

That's 100% an Autopen, but more importantly, why would you be considering spending $300 on a Fred Haise signed cover?Haise signs through the mail for a $75 donation to the Infinity Science Center. Even with postage costs to and from Australia that's going to work out a lot cheaper than that random cover, plus you are getting the autograph straight from Haise, plus you get to send your own item or print the photo of your choice, and the money is going to a good cause. It's a win-win-win-win situation. |

Yes I thought the price was high, for me I was practising identifying patterns then checking them against known examples. I am developing a side hobby.I politely informed the seller that I believed it to be an autopen pattern and he replied it was 100% authentic. It's good to gather more opinions to be sure. Thanks for the tip on acquiring directly from Fred Haise, I might try that. | |
