I have seen a number of presentations for sale with a swatch of tape containing moon dust from the Apollo 11 mission. These were originally made by Spaceflori (now ArtifactCloud).

Are they legal to own? What is a reasonable price for one?

You can find details about this in previous posts: Regarding the legality, it's very unsure. Personally, I think the chances of NASA coming after them are rare. They already tried, and then gave up on it, so I doubt they'll go after them again. But NASA definitely would want them back, so I think owning them will always carry some risk.

As for price, I've seen these go from anywhere between $2,500 to $4,000 on average in the past few years.

All times are CT (US)
