Now I need to speak up! All of these fake SpaceX patches are too much.

eBay item number 353112248478:

AUTHENTIC Zuma US SPACEX Collectible - Original Emblem NASA SPACE PATCH
These creeps can even list them as authentic and get away with it!

Originals for this mission were snapped up after the failure, so they are relatively hard to find and sell for several hundred dollars. Can't say I'm surprised that bootlegs have popped up for sale.

Thanks for sharing what these look like, those who want an actual original patch know what to avoid.

Unfortunately the casual buyer may purchase this and be otherwise unaware or they could just be happy to have a patch from the mission, authorized or not.

Do we know if SpaceX has been active in shutting down unauthorized products?

There are a few replica sellers selling patches like this without letting people know they are replicas. Patches include the Mir and ISS "Sperm" patches and even the STS-128 Buzz Lightyear patch recently. Thankfully even a cursory examination reveals they are not originals.

These are awful copies! And for these sellers to be selling this garbage as authentic is a slap in the face to everyone.

All times are CT (US)
