I've had the Flight Mission Rules for Apollo 11 (AS-506) for a few months and have recently added William E Platt's I.D. and presentation mug. Mug has damage to it and vinyl cover is crazing on the I.D., they will both display very well.Happy to have them. More photos here.  |

Is that smaller patch made on what looks like a Nylon material instead of twill? |

Yes, it is a nylon type, the back is also different. I have no doubt as to its originality due to the fact it came from the W.E. Platt estate.Different manufacturers for different sizes? |

I have one of these 3 inch Apollo 11 patches as well. Mine originally came with an Apollo 11 flown film presentation I acquired 30 or so years ago. They were not in one presentation. I normally don't mess with 3 inch patches, but I held on to this patch because of it's resemblance to the 5 inch crew version. |

Chris might want to update the description for "AS11UNK3i6" to indicate that it's sewn on a nylon like material. |

If I am seeing details correctly comparing my patches to pics on crewpatches.com these are the ones I have. Please correct me if I am incorrect.
