I inherited this film and far as I can tell it is of astronaut John Young flying one of the LLTVs in November 1971 before Apollo 16. How rare is something like this?
Anyone have anymore info on it or know what it talking about on the front sticker. I don't have the equipment to watch it I just unrolled a few feet and looked at it under a magnifying glass.

Film of the LLTV flown in training is fairly uncommon. The value would depend on several things like: Sound or silent, length of the film and of course who is flying (we already know). I would be interested in the film as I am a huge fan of John Young a native of my home town.

Wow. Whoever transfers this to digital, would you consider uploading it on this forum for us all to view?

That appears to be Kodak color film and 300 feet of it would be about 9 minutes worth. When you look at the actual film itself if it has holes on both sides it is silent video documentation. If it has sprocket holes going down one side only it has original sound recording included.

So just checked it has the holes on both sides so it will be silent.
