Does anyone have an opinion on the authenticity of this Gus Grissom cover? If someone has a good eye for his signature, I'd be very grateful for your feedback. |

I have a similar cover with an early signature and "Mercury Astronaut" written underneath like yours. It looks good to me! |

Good looking cover from the early days when the astronaut corps was based at Langley, VA. |

In fact, Grissom lived in the Denbigh area of Newport News, VA while Project Mercury was based at Langley. That postcard was postmarked at his neighborhood post office - I wonder if Grissom himself dropped it off on his way to work!(The public library in that neighborhood today is the Virgil I. Grissom Library.) |

Many thanks to all of you! I've been hoping to get his signature for years, so your assistance means a lot to me. This is all very helpful. Thank you! |

It's really cool that after a long effort, you ended up with that excellent example. With the specific time and place, and the "Mercury Astronaut", I like it better than the signed photo I have. |
