I have always had a massive admiration for all things space related (especially the Apollo missions). I do not have any autographs in my collection and would dearly love to add a couple. I came across this Buzz and Collins autograph locally (Australia) and would love some opinions on its authenticity.

To be completely honest I know very little as to what to look for. Just looking at the autographs the letter B on Buzz looks odd and every photo I've seen of the moon, Earth or Eagle autographed by Collins he also writes "Apollo VI CMP" (or similar) beneath his autograph. There is no COA but it does come with a couple of hand written statements.

Here are the pictures: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

It was supposedly won in a charity event in Sydney (Australia) and originally donated by Ken Havekotte. Any help, opinions or advice would be tremendously welcome. Thank you in advance.

Both forgeries? Very strange signatures.

No, not forgeries at all! The signed Aldrin postcards came from the Aldrin household as many had been signed together at one time. Recent Aldrin signatures have changed somewhat and may appear atypical, but these are indeed genuine that came from his estate (second wife). Steve Zarelli knows about their origin as well.

The Michael Collins piece I am not aware of, but may have come from a Collins public or private signing.

Please note: Just found out the Collins piece was signed in person for the donor of the framed sets in June 2017. I have personally known the donor for decades as an avid and highly respected space collector, a dear personal friend.

They look good to me (untrained eye, several years of collecting). Ken is king though, one of two or three people whose opinion is gospel!!

Thanks a tremendous amount for all of your feedback. It is much appreciated. I have now purchased these autographs and can't wait to put them in my collection.

Now just need a bargain Armstrong lol.
