eBay item number: 183158151055 is a Navy to the Moon print by Bob Rasmussen, but not like the ones I am used to seeing (the one with Armstrong, Shepard, Cernan, and Lovell signatures and was an edition of 250).

This one has Lovell, Shepard, and Schirra, doesn't have an edition number (i.e. xx of 250, etc). Thoughts? Thanks for your help.

I have not seen this one nor have been able to find it online either, but according to the description it is a "re-print." From ad: "This is a poster of a moon landing reprinted from a painting."

Unless you buy an original painting, all prints are technically "re-prints." That doesn't determine the authenticity of the signatures on the print. All three signatures look fine based on the scans.

This, however, isn't one of the limited edition run of 250 that were signed and numbered by the artist, along with signatures of Armstrong, Lovell, Shepard, and Cernan. Those prints included the names and missions of the signing astronauts below their signatures. The Moonpans site shows an example of the limited edition run of 250. Apparently another 50 signed copies were made as presentation copies.

The eBay example might be an artist proof that was then signed by three of the four astronauts... perhaps at the same signing(s) where the limited edition prints were signed. Armstrong possibly signed only the 250 limited edition prints and the presentation copies.

Maybe these were "printing errors" whereas the astronauts names and mission numbers were missing during the print run. This has happened with some baseball cards that some printing was missing. Maybe.

The one thing that points to it not being signed at the same time as the other 300 copies, is that it is signed by Wally Schirra and not Gene Cernan. If it was signed when the original prints were signed it is possible only Lovell and Shepard signed it and Schirra was added, but if that was the case, why did not Cernan also sign it?

And if you look at the Lovell and Shepard signatures, they are very different than the ones on the official prints. For example the L in Lovell in the official ones is quite different, the Shepard is quite different as well. If they are real, I believe they were signed at some other time.
