As you know Neil Armstrong's autograph is only going up in value so I was wondering which would you prefer to purchase? You can only choose one of the following and if possible why that option?
  1. Neil Armstrong autograph
  2. Neil Armstrong written name ("Neil Armstrong" wrote by him)
I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Personally, I would select a nice autographed item over his "written name." There are examples where he had been asked for an autograph and instead printed his name. On classic items such as WSS portrait photos this is considered atypical and as such can adversely affect the value of the piece.

There is also something reassuringly familiar and comforting about his autograph: a printed name always raises questions in my mind but then that may just be me.

I purchased his autograph recently in anticipation of a rise in price due to the upcoming biopic and 50th anniversary of Apollo 11. Much prefer that to his printed name — I find his stylised signature quite interesting actually, something "different" about it.

It seems to me the market for his signature has been quite stable since he died.

But I like the style of his "Neil Ag" on my WSS. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder."
