Can anyone confirm to me that John Young's autographs are authentic?

What I've gathered from speaking to a couple different people is that they are seconds from Young's Novaspace signings. The prints with prime signatures, while nice, have lite ink and not quite as desirable as a nice bold signature in my opinion.

The photo that is linked to by the original poster is from a private signing John Young did after he had a serious medical episode. It is not from Novaspace. In my opinion, these infirm signatures are far less desirable than prime signatures.

(It’s possible the seller may have swapped images and I am not seeing the same item you initially viewed. He seems to have a habit of frequently updating auctions and prices.)

There were some other signed Young items earlier today, including the prime signatures. I went back and forth on purchasing one, but believe I will wait to find a more bold signature.

I dont understand why a guy would do a private signing with John Young and only get three different photos signed multiple times?

I suspect he picked the most popular poses at the time. The problem is now that the market appears flooded with jump and salute poses.

Here is one that sold for $349 the day after John Young passed.

And now inflated to $1299 by the buyer (and flipper) to take advantage of Young's passing.

All times are CT (US)
