Any opinions on the Anders signature on my Apollo 8 crew signed cover?I always thought it was authentic (purchased it in a Superior auction in the 90s), but then I noticed Autopen Pattern 6 for Anders at Chris Spain's Astronaut Autopen Guide website. When I look at mine closely with a magnifying glass, it does not appear to be an autopen, but the match with the pattern is pretty darn close. |

Yes, unfortunately, it's an autopen of Apollo 8's LMP. |

That's kinda what I figured, Ken. I don't mind so much that I bought it through a reputable auction house — I just wish I would have known sooner, since they are much more expensive now that I need to replace it. |

Unfortunately this is just one example of certainly a large number of misrepresented autograph material (autopens, forgeries) that Superior Stamp and Coin sold over many years that many collectors are stuck with. |
