So, what do you think? Is there an arrest coming in the near future, or might this Moon Dust! From Apollo 11 - from labs at UCLA be dust that was created to be just like dust from the moon?For a mere 50 bucks you can find out! Note: I am not involved in this sale in any way. |

My guess is that the material is beach sand or other terrestrial dirt, scooped up and packaged as a gag at the time of the moon landing. I've seen a number of similar homemade "moon dust" displays.But just in case, I have written the seller, informing of him/her of the legal situation (for theft of government property or fraud) and suggested contacting his/her closest NASA center for assistance. Update: The seller has withdrawn the auction and plans to contact NASA. | |
