Not a wanted to buy per se, since I'm not expecting anyone here to have this kind of quantity. But between a variety of different areas where I collect pins, I have a large number with missing or cheap clasps I need to replace. I'd guess at least 5,000. Suggestions for suppliers with quality butterfly clasps at a good price?

I've bought some nice Made in the USA clasps from eBay sellers for as cheap as 3.5 cents each, but since they're just middle people themselves I'm assuming it's possible to find them for less.

Since you need 5,000 this probably won't help. But I've always disliked the butterfly clasps because they've always come loose. I've used the ones made by Disney as replacements — no lost clasp, no worries about losing pins.

Hart, thanks for your reply. I haven't seen the Disney pin clasps, but my experience with butterfly clasps over the years is there's a wide range of quality. I've seen a lot of cheaply made one, but really high quality clasps can be almost difficult to remove even when you want to.

A generous collectSPACE member helped me out with a bunch left over from a former business of theirs, and I got a little better price from a business I've bought from in the past. That will keep me busy in my sorting for months!
