I have a large selection of manuals, photographs and a technical notebook related to the Project Apollo program. There are numerous photos of the ship, USNS Mercury, equipment and snapshots of daily life aboard the ship. I know that I have the negatives for these photos packed away somewhere.

I found a copy of the two large photos and some information here.

Mercury (T-AGM-21) while berthing at Sidney Harbour, Australia, in 1969. Mercury was part of the command and control network for the Apollo 9 and 10 missions while in Sydney.

Photo from the collection of CAPT. William Strain, USNR-R, Chief Engineer USNS Mercury late 1960s. Submitted by his son-in-law CAPT Joe A. Baker USN (Ret).

I'd very much appreciate any opinions regarding value or if they're even of interest to collectors of space memorabilia.

I've uploaded a selection of images for your consideration. Thank you!

First of all, Welcome to cS. I could see electrical engineers find this appealing. Their actual value/worth is in the eye of the beholder.

Thank you very much for the welcome and the information!

I suspected value would be difficult to ascertain due to the rather obscure nature of these materials. My wife is really pushing me to clear out some of my "treasures" I've collected over a lifetime. Hopefully I can find a good home for something like this. Pretty sure my kids would consider it trash but I'd hate to see the documentation lost.

Thank you again and have a wonderful day.

All times are CT (US)
