I recently bought a piece of John Glenn's Friendship 7 heat shield for $130. It is a triangle 1.5 cm wide and .75 cm tall. It came with a COA too. Just want to know what the value of this fragment is.

Hello and welcome. The value depends on what the piece is attached to. Is it in an acrylic display or attached to a photograph for instance?

Generally these small pieces have collector value, but not so much financial value. They're meant for people who want a connection to the missions without spending thousands of dollars.

Is this the item you purchased? If so, as a retail item that is still available for sale, at best it would be what you paid.

Yeah it's attached to paper, and it came from one of the plugs, but it is framed.

All times are CT (US)
