I would like your opinion on this Apollo-Soyuz numbered print, number 135 of 200.

I love this print and have been looking for one but I was under the impression that there where 125 artists proofs and a limited edition of 1500 prints. I had no idea there was a separate run of 200 at some point in time. Can anyone enlighten me please?

I have two artist proof editions and they are both of 200. Hopefully they are good.

I have had multiple emails sent to indicate there where three separate runs of the Apollo-Soyuz print.
  • Artist's Proofs numbered AP 1-125/125
  • standard prints numbered 1-1500/1500
  • And an additional run numbered 1-200/200
It has been suggested that Keith Mountain and Pacific Coast Galaxy may have made an unauthorized run of 200 and had them signed with the rest of the prints and numbers after signing.

I had no knowledge of this until this auction came up so any additional information would be appreciated.

I have a print #1387/1500 never been hung and still in the tube. It's signed by all 5 ASTP astronauts (I am not sure if the artist's signature is printed). It was purchased from Novaspace and comes with its COA and the original COA. I have added Vance Brand during one of the Spacefest event. It happened I didn't find a place to hang it.

I am ready to sell it because it's should not stay in the tube.

I am a little surprised to hear there was a second run of 200 prints. I always thought there was the artist proofs and then run of 1-1500.

I have number 1416 also signed by Vance Brand in pencil at one the ASF events. Mine is custom framed and not for sale. I have never seen one of the 200 or the artist proofs for sale.
