I would like your opinion on this autograph of Neil Armstrong that is on an official envelope of Cospar XIII (1970 Leningrad), where he was a guest. There are also other autographs including Volkov.

Not to question the authenticity of this at all, but I was only today reading in his biography that in the days when he did sign things that were sent to him, the one thing he did not do was first day covers.

That is obviously different to someone presenting him with one in person, but he may have held the same opinion about that.

Armstrong ceased signing covers and most other philatelic items in 1970-71. Prior to that, he autographed them just as he did any other item.

Other signatures are Volkov, Krunov, Richard W. Porter and Boris Petrov. I can not identify the sixth signature, placed under the lower-right corner of the Cospar logo: any idea who it might be?
