I'm going to be selling off most of my space and aviation collection, I have about 100 flown first flight covers from the 20s to 50s airmail routes and 60 to 80 Apollo covers with CM flown Kapton foil. I also have a few pieces of airmail that were recovered from crashed airplanes, some have burned edges and others with post office stamps stating it was in a particular crash. I don't have time for eBay. Can anyone point me in the direction of a site where I can list these or if you know of someone who consigns these? Thanks for your help. |

I can't afford them right now, but I do have a question about the Apollo covers. Do you have a set(s) that you could put together? I wouldn't mind buying a set of Apollo 7 to 17 covers, especially if they have flown Kapton on them.It would also be nice to know if they are signed or not. If so, by whom? |

Am interested in the "crash covers"... I have a few myself, and am always looking for more (especially if western US). |

Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately I have no idea how to post pics here, even though Robert has told me many times over the years. I'm an analog guy in a digital world and if the computer doesn't work, I just get a bigger hammer.I have some Apollo covers with flown kapton foil that I bought from Rick Boos 10-15 years ago, there are 30-40 Apollo 8, 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 16 and 17 recovery ship cancelled covers from a NASA employee with flown kapton. Then I have the 100+ early 1st flight flown airmail covers. I have no idea what they're worth, which is why I'm thinking an auction house or eBay determines the value and gives everyone a shot. I'm putting together a group of stuff to send out for auction, primarily early contractor models, non-flown items, some rare photos from Mercury, Gemini and Apollo, some early shuttle hardware and concept artwork and miscellaneous stuff. |

One of the best auctions for this kind of stuff is Lunar Legacies. Donnis does a great job, and for the lower value items (less than $500) it is a great platform. He also has a webstore at Lunar Legacies that you can list items all the time. (And I am not affiliated in any way with Donnis or LL). |

And please let's not forget the U.S. Space Walk of Fame Charity auctions. We are also a great venue and all proceeds help keep the museum open and growing. Please visit us online for more information.Remember private auction companies are a business, we are a 501(c)3 charity educating children in the STEM and STEAM programs and teaching space history. |
