I love this listing as it would appear that Fred Haise landed on the moon with Neil Armstrong. |

Must be one of those rare alternate reality signed baseballs... but where did I leave my alternate reality wallet? |

Signature is surprisingly good.Maybe Apollo III is really XIII with the X overwritten by the 1st I? |

If the inscription is Apollo 11, buy it and ask Haise to add one word - "backup." |

Maybe it's just me, but I don't recall Fred Haise ever playing major league baseball. Seriously, I don't understand out of context autographs, no matter who signed it. I know I wouldn't take it if you gave it to me for free. It just has no value to me.Am I missing something? Just to prove what a walking contradiction I am, I have a friend who has a baseball signed by all 7 of the Mercury 7 astronauts. I was at her house one time and she brought it out and put it in my hand. I almost cried when I saw Grissom's signature. As I looked at the other 6 signatures on that ball, I thought about the history each of those men created, and the dreams they achieved. I would have given her anything she wanted for that baseball. In the end, all she wanted was her baseball back. While I would gladly take the Mercury 7 ball, I don't believe there's any other astronaut signed ball out there that I would want. |

Baseballs are easy to acquire in large numbers, easy to carry, and, when signed properly, present well with minimal fading. They're also less susceptible to damage than paper and easier to sign on the go. |

Baseball is also an American sport, and to us non-Americans is a big symbol of America. I expect that might hold true in the eyes of others. |

Fred will tell you the story of how he played baseball in high school I think it was.I don't see why someone would want a signed photo of someone that is personalized to them unless the photo pictures the person to whom it's being personalized. I guess everyone has different likes and dislikes. Did you see the ball Heritage sold that was signed by 11 Moonwalkers? It got $21,000. |
