I bought off Astro-Auction a most unusual piece, a report written by Gene Cernan for completion of his Masters Degree (he got a B on the report — wonder if the guy who got an A ever made it to the moon!?!).

The report is titled "Aerodynamic Characteristics and Performance Analysis Estimate of the T2J-1 Aircraft" and is dated 14 March, 1962. It is over 50 pages in length and has many hand-drawn figures and hand written captions and corrections.

I had the cover autographed by Cernan through Kim Poor and ended up with a very nice bold signature in black sharpie.

Not that I would ever want to part with it but I'm curious as to whether this piece has any real value for a collector? It certainly is fairly unique. Your comments are appreciated.

I own this item now. Can anyone shed some light on the provenance? Thanks.

Since Cernan sold several of his personal items through Kim Poor at Novaspace (the company who ran Astro-Auction), it's quite possible the item went from Cernan to Novaspace to the OP. If nothing else, Novaspace would be the first people to start with when inquiring about provenance. Otherwise, another option would be to attempt to contact Cernan himself.
