This is on eBay, item no. 231496830111. Would this be a one of a kind medallion intended for astronaut Joe Allen only? If so I'm curious to see it for sale on eBay and for what seems at least a low starting price. Any insights appreciated. Thanks.

I've been in touch with both the seller and the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation about this auction.

The seller obtained the medal, as well as a few other items, from the Allen family. That said, the ASF makes it a practice to hold onto the astronauts' official medals between induction ceremonies, so they are checking on it as well.

(There have been a few sales of Hall of Fame medallions in the past, but they seem to have been of an earlier style, presented to the Mercury and Gemini inductees.)

Robert, I did not see this before but I won the auction in question. Is there some issue with ownership or something?

I don't believe so, but you might check with the Astronaut Scholarship Foundation for their final word.
