Can anyone tell me what the original cost of the Alan Shepard QVC autographed photo is? This is the one were President Kennedy is presenting Alan Shepard with the first Congressional Space Medal of Freedom in 1961.

I got mine thru a cS member that also included a statue of Shepard offered by the US Historical Society. He also had the signed photo alone for $160.
An important note: the photo depicts JFK awarding Shepard the NASA Distinguished Service Medal, not the Congressional Space Medal of Honor. That medal was only authorized in 1969, and first awarded in 1978 to Shepard and several other astronauts.

So is that the original purchase price or what it cost you to buy it from a cS member?

From the cS member. As late as last December, he posted that he still had some of the photo/statue sets, this time for $165.

That is a great deal as I paid $225 for my set (photo and statue) through a private dealer. And I still love it.

I am likely the cS member being referred to on this thread. I obtained a quantity of these from another space collector in the mid 90s. They were originally offered by the U.S. Historical Society. When they were discontinued they were offered by one of the home shopping channels. I believe that is where the person I bought them from obtained them.
I have no idea as to the original price. I sold some in auction or in bulk to a number of folks. I think it was about three years ago I offered some on cS. At that time I offered to break up the sets but that left me with about 10 statues as some just wanted the photo. When I offered them last year I would only offered them as a sealed package as I did not want any more statues even though they are quite nice and to me I think they complement the photo nicely.
I still have some sets available but as the price of space collectibles have increased I increased my price by a minimal amount not to mention the time value of holding these and increases in postage. If anyone has any questions please contact me.
