Any opinions on this? From the estate of George W. Woerner, former Publications Engineer, Martin Company, Cape Canaveral, Florida. Woerner and his team were the primary engineers for the Martin Company at the launch of Gemini 4 in June 1965.Approximately 6 feet of gold-plated EVA tape, leftover from wrapping the lines and hoses of Ed White’s extravehicular activity (EVA), used for the flight of Gemini 4, on June 3, 1965, America’s First Space Walk. Also included in this artifact sale is the original envelope with notes on the outside from the owner, George W. Woerner, Publications Engineer for the Martin Company; an 8x10 picture of Ed White’s EVA; and a launch photo of Gemini 4 from Complex 19. This historic foil tape is a rare and valuable artifact from the US Space Program. No such other artifact is available for sale from the estate. |
