Anybody ever seen one of these?

It is a large (~4ft long) vintage print, derived from AS17-P-2871, but with crew signatures photographically added to the final print (not live signatures).

I suspect it was NASA-internal back in the day, but perhaps there is more to the story.

David, I owned something identical for many years though the image covered the entire page with a minimal black border. It had the same Apollo 17 white lettered title along the top edge and matching "technical" reference details down the left hand margin. There were no signatures, facsimile or otherwise.

It looks like the same image too..... though on a slightly smaller scale. The fact that it includes pre printed signatures would suggest a commercially produced facsimile piece of memorabilia rather than an original "working" print, perhaps for ITEK employees or public relations purposes.

My photo was I believe a "contact print" from an Apollo SIM bay ITEK hi-res panoramic mapping camera. It was sent to me by the ITEK Corp in the mid 70s.

Great detail and a neat artifact. If I may be so bold, might I suggest you reach out to fellow cS member Larry McGlynn. Besides being a mine of information and always keen to help fellow enthusiasts I believe Larry had some involvement with ITEK back in the day. Larry is also now the owner of my long time print.

All times are CT (US)
