New to collectSPACE, colleague on another forum suggested I post here.

Before the Internet, Aviation Week & Space Technology was the premier magazine for engineers involved in aviation and space technology. I have 5 copies of the magazine, dated June 16, 1969, August 11th and 18th, 1969, and December 8th and 15th, 1969. Plus a copy of a special edition of the Science Journal dated May 1969 "Man on the Moon". The very first photographs ever published of the moon landings came out in AW&ST, in these editions.

See here: 1 | 2 | 3 | 4

They are in reasonable condition given their age, and have been in my possession since receiving them from the printers. I would appreciate any advice as to their potential value, and the best way to realize it. Thanks. — Alison

Checking sold items on eBay for you it seems these are worth about $1 each in bulk and up to $5 each for single issues. Good luck.

By bulk I mean 30 issues for $30 or less.

Thanks. Thought these particular editions might have some rarity value, containing the very first published photographs of the moon landings. Hardly worth the expense of keeping them.

Most magazines "suffer" from the same problem as newspapers as collectibles; there were too many printed.

Also, they are very hard to display, unless you just want to show the cover.

All times are CT (US)
