Just wondering how rare a Ron Evans unpersonilised signed photo is (non WSS)?

I have seen an Apollo 17 Evans EVA for sale but it was for sale for well over $1500 from a dealer. Would have really liked to purchase it but don't have that type of cash.

Just waiting till I see the right one at the right price.

They're pretty hard to find, though $1500 sounds really high. I would think under $1000 would get you any kind of Ron Evans photo you could want-portrait litho or EVA. Obviously a higher end auction setting might bring more. They're not easy to locate.

I think $1500 and over is the real value. I have an uninscribed WSS litho of Evans which I paid well over that price. Call me crazy, but there were several people waiting to jump in!

Since I last started this thread (nearly 8 years ago), I have only seen and handful of uniscribed Evans photos for sale. I am aware that Evans passed away in 1990 but prior to that how prevalent was Evans signing? I am sure there is a lot of Evans signed photos in private hands but amazingly the most amount of signed items I have come across is VHS tapes.

I paid around $700 for my uninscribed Evans WSS but that was around 8 years ago. I haven't seen another uninscribed one for sale since. There was a thread a few years back about the relative rarity of uninscribed Apollo WSS, with Evans, Irwin and Roosa towards the top. Luckily I snagged all three plus an uninscribed Swigert WSS 8-10 yrs ago.

All times are CT (US)
