Since this DM torso used to reside within my collection prior to divesting Russian/Soviet items and moving on to US artifacts I can tell you my initial motivation for purchasing was the possibility that sometime in the future, other components necessary to build a complete ORLAN would come to market and allow me to assemble a suit for significantly less then the 20-30 Thousand Dollars a full Orlan would have cost. The reality is there are so many derivatives of the Orlan that finding a precisely matched upper Torso and ancillaries was very unlikely.------------------
