HelloI find incredible to sell this kind of note. And I don't understand how space autographs dealers could continue to write to astronauts to request autographs to sell few moments later. But now, I can understand why some astronauts don't answer to the real collectors... LadyCosmos |

Just a note- this dealer is a great and honest dealer. He has been around for a long time. Most of his stuff is items he provides to the astronauts to sign, and he sells them for usually $5 so he is not making much profit, if any at all- in fact I know that he has lost money on some of the covers and photos. Many of the item I have bought from him are the astronauts that will not respond to my requests.

Hello,I don't doubt of his honesty of authenticity of his autographs. Just say space autographs dealer who wrote to astronauts to request autographs to sell after, is... strange. Not my problems if he win or not money,it's his business but I think dealer have others sources to have autographs and in this case, I think he ''abuse'' of the kindness of astronauts (he not sell for charities, he sell for win money). He is not the only seller to use of this system and it's ''a problem'' for real collectors. The only way to obtain some autographs is to buy it, as you have said, because you haven't receipt responses to your(s) mail(s). Maybe you should received a response if some people not abusing. And you shouldn't in obligation to buy it LadyCosmos |

While I'm not the seller, I don't think I've abused the kindness of astronauts. Unfortunately, circumstances change; for personal reasons, I've had to sell some of my collection, some of which has been obtained TTM. I know seanspace is retired; under somewhat similar circumstances, I've bought a signed crew photo from someone who "retired" from NASA as an interest (and this person wrote one of the NASA history books.)We all have our reasons for selling our stuff. I think it's wrong to write for an autograph and then put it up for sale the day it's received. But I don't think it's ever wrong to ever sell your stuff, either. |

I agree with you. You can sell any items as you want. But in this case, you can see he claims he is dealer since 1973 !!! And the autographs he propose are recents (note from P. Hoag of 2006 !!!). And I'm not sure if someone sell several thousand items on Ebay each year should be considerate as not dealer... It's funny to see some high sellers feedbacks and read on description they are not professional dealer. It was just my opinion. I can understand someone want to sell but if he is dealer, it's not exactly the same thing as a collectorLadyCosmos | |
