I'm VERY dubious about the authenticity of this signature. It's a VERY uncommon and early form of Armstrong's signature, made even more unusual because of the item signed, and the type of ink used. (I don't think silver ink was at all used in the era Armstrong signed in this style). I'd not bid on this item.-chet |

I personally think these posts by monsterseats03 are sarcastic. I hope they are. Like I said I'll pass on this one. |

A PSA DNA certification is not a guarantee for authenticity. From their website:We do not guarantee autographs under the Vintage Certified program. By using this program, you are paying for the opinion of the top experts in the world, using state-of-the-art examination tools and techniques. Its an opinion -- of no more value, and of probably less value, than those you would get here when discussing astronaut autographs. Charging a fee for that opinion does not make it any more valid than those expressed here for free. PSA DNA provides a service for those who do not have access (or knowledge) of a community like the one that exists here. You may well have bid on it. It may well show up in an auction and someone may buy it. By all means buy it if you like. I'll pass on it. |
