mission and had that terrible head-cold?!
Well this "handsignature" looks like
it was done by someone who was very ill at
the time!! Sheesh!!! I coulda done better than that!

Yes, it is a fake, but kind of an "official"
fake. It's probably a Schirra "secretarial
signature" applied by his secretary. I
received one in this style _many_ years ago
from a request I sent for Schirra's autograph
to his office. So the seller, while offering
a fake, is not a forger & is probably unaware
