Looking to buy Apollo crew autopenned NASA photographs. I have all the Apollo 11 autopens I need and I also have Apollo 13 with Swigert. I am building a collection of examples and will consider multiple purchases at the right price to save on postage. Please email me or post here. |

Ian, I may be able to help you with two or three, but we're just about to head off north NSW for a few days. I'll contact you when we return. |

What do you think you need Ian? I know of at least fourteen different examples from Apollo 10 to Apollo 17. |

Mike, I'll be starting with the more common crew photos with the more typical autopen signatures to start with (WSS with the names printed in the lower frame) and then go from there. I'm even after an Apollo 1 at some point but that will be hard to find. |

Apollo 1 is extremely rare, now almost impossible to obtain. But great of Colin to at least give you a head start into the rest. A big challenge awaits. |

It has taken many years but I have obtained every autopen example and every crew signed autopen from Mercury (excluding Scott Carpenter who as I understand never used an autopen machine) to ASTP. Apollo 1 is extremely rare but so are some of the early Gemini crew signed missions. I have no idea of value of the collection as a whole but more over I am not sure if there is another complete collection anywhere? |

I'd rate the rarity in this order - Apollo 1
- Gemini 4
- Gemini 3
- Gemini 7
The rest of the Mercury, Gemini and Apollo autopens (by comparison) are relatively easy if you have the time, the contacts and dollars. |

Thanks guys some helpful information. My final goal is to have all the autopen examples known from Gemini through to Skylab. I'm going for crew signed sets, portraits and covers so I can get all the examples. For example, I have all the Apollo 11 examples minus (pattern 1): - Crew
- individual WSS
- individual Business suit
- random covers
I am hoping to build my collection this way starting with Apollo crews. |
