This segment of protective mylar foil was flown into space to the International Space Station contained within the MISSE payload and orbited outside of the ISS for 14 months!The space flown material was flown aboard the CRS-14 Falcon 9 Rocket where it orbited outside of the International Space Station for over 14 months before returning to Earth aboard the SpaceX CRS-17 Dragon Capsule. The mission lasted a total of 14 months, 1 day, 1 hour, 18 minutes, 0 seconds from the moment of liftoff until splashdown and in that time it travelled over 175 million miles during its flight aboard the ISS (4.8 miles per second x 14 months).
