This listing is for several Apollo-era stamp blocks from the Sieger collection, each of which has been signed by one of the astronauts. I'm sure most people here are familiar with the backstory for these; but I'll provide a brief overview for anyone who isn't.

During the Apollo era, a former aerospace contractor, Horst Eiermann, arranged for the astronauts to sign stamp blocks for Hermann Sieger, a German philatelic dealer. These signed blocks later fell under scrutiny as part of a Congressional investigation into postal covers that were flown for Sieger on Apollo 15. Ultimately, no actions were taken against the astronauts for signing the stamp blocks.

I was able to buy a complete Sieger set from Florian Noller of Artifact Cloud. The full set cost a few thousand dollars, which is outside of my normal budget. So I decided to buy the set to finish my autograph collection and sell the spares. Each one comes with the original Sieger COA. I can also provide a copy of my receipt, if you'd like additional provenance. For photos of each autograph, please refer to this album.

All of these are in fantastic condition, especially considering their age. As with most vintage stamp blocks, these tend to curl up if left out in the open. I've stored them flat in acid-free archival sleeves, and they'll be shipped flat. But I recommend leaving them in their sleeves, or mounting them for display, to keep them flat.

Here are the signatures in the set:

  • John Glenn: (SOLD)
  • Scott Carpenter: (SOLD)
  • Wally Schirra: (SOLD)
  • Jim McDivitt: (SOLD)
  • Frank Borman: (SOLD)
  • James Lovell: (SOLD)
  • Dave Scott (signed twice): (SOLD)
  • Gene Cernan: (SOLD)
  • Walt Cunningham: (SOLD)
  • Rusty Schweickart (SOLD)
  • Alan Bean: (SOLD)
  • Tom Stafford: (SOLD)
  • Donn Eisele: (SOLD)
  • Gordon Cooper: (SOLD)
  • Pete Conrad: (SOLD)
  • Richard Gordon: (SOLD)
  • Neil Armstrong: (SOLD)
  • Edgar Mitchell: (SOLD)
  • Stuart Roosa: (SOLD)
  • Jack Swigert: (SOLD)
I'd be happy to offer group discounts, depending on how many are purchased. I accept PayPal, but I can also provide a 5% discount on the total price if you pay by check/money order. US Shipping is $5 for any amount of signatures purchased. International Shipping is $21. If you're interested, please send me an email. Thank you for viewing this listing!

As mentioned in the first post, these all include the original Sieger COAs. However, these certificates are just printed text. Anyone could print one out themselves, or pair a genuine COA with a forged signature. So they're not perfectly reliable.

I recently sent my collection to Steve Zarelli for certification, so I decided to send all of these along as well. He approved every one of them. So you'll now get a Zarelli COA as well, which includes his signature/seal/hologram, along with a scan of the actual item. I'm not charging extra for this, so the original prices still apply.

Thank you for visiting this listing!
