For sale: Leonov, space shuttle and two patches from the realm of "what could have been." Stock exits of all four designs. Contact me at lucspace@hotmail.com for ordering details. - The spaceplane Hermes was a small shuttle planned by ESA during 1987-1992. It was cancelled without any vehicle being built, but it's second flight H02, would have been the first independent European manned space mission. This fictional patch shows a sketched outline of the vehicle against the background of a portrait of the Greek god Hermes inspired by Rossend Nobas' statue in Barcelona. (©️Lucreation)
The patch is 10 cm in diameter, fully embroidered and priced at EURO 10.00. - During design studies for the US Space Shuttle, Lockheed developed the Star Clipper concept. In this patch, Lockheed's design replaces Rockwell's competing and eventually selected one in NASA's famous Space Shuttle logo. (©️Lucreation)
The patch is 12 cm high, fully embroidered and priced at EURO 10.00. - This patch commemorates the first spacewalk or EVA performed by Soviet cosmonaut Alexei Leonov in March 1965. The design is based on descriptions of the cosmonaut's experiences of silence (no text), the view of stars beneath his feet and the feeling of infinity of the universe (no border on the patch). The patch is shaped like a diamond as this was the mission's callsign ("Almaz" in Russian). (©️Lucreation)
The patch is 12 cm wide, embroidered on a black felt background and priced at EURO 10.00. - During the later stage of NASA's Space shuttle program, this was the agency's official logo. As it was never released to the public as an embroidered patch, this version makes up for that mission.
The patch is 10 cm in diameter, fully embroidered and priced at EURO 10.00.

I received the "space shuttle program patch" today. Very nice patch. Unfortunately, I have no information about the genesis of the logo. It was allegedly published in 2011 by the company Winco International with the permission of NASA as a pin. Is there any further information available? | |
