I'm selling my authentic Apollo era flight-spare beta cloth name tape ("Type II"), it bears the name of the first man to step foot upon the moon, Neil A. Armstrong!Armstrong's name appears in dark-blue and the beta cloth name tape measures about 7.5" by 2.5". This beta cloth name tag was likely intended to be used on the crew "inflight coverall garment" aka ICG.
Unlike other beta cloth name tapes, This name tape has solution marks on the reverse side intended to avoid/reduce fraying. It originally came in a "clear blue bag" bearing the NASA inspection logo (also pictured for reference only!), meaning it was cleaned with the intention of being used on a flight, but ended up being "only" a flight-spare!
A very nice piece of space history that doesn't come along very often! The condition of this Beta cloth name tape is fantastic for its age!
Also, to make this deal even sweeter, I will throw in a small "Muonionalusta" meteorite pendant for your significant other (to appease her or him) and a also a piece (0.9 grams) of an authentic and classified Lunar meteorite NWA 11228 (With its respective COA from TopMeteorites)!
Pictures of the name tape can be seen here. Asking price is $700. — SOLD
Free shipping within the USA! And $10 for world wide shipping. Payment via PayPal (friends and family is much appreciated).
