Just picked up one of these; one of the most beautiful Apollo works I've ever seen. |

Chris, congratulations on another beautiful print. As an owner of your earlier prints "Last Man" and 'Eagle's Ascent" I can say that viewing your work close-up is the next best thing to being there. Terrific work. |

My Charlie Duke-signed canvas arrived in the mail today. Another beautifully done work of art by Chris Calle.I'm thinking of having mine gallery-wrapped because of the size (30 x 28). Anyone recommend framing instead? Just curious if people have strong advice one way or the other. |

Does this come as a loose canvas? I assumed it was attached to a frame. |

Prior to my purchase, I emailed Chris about that very question. The answer is: it depends. Notice in Chris's description above that the smallest version of the print has the option of being gallery-wrapped prior to shipping. The larger version comes as a loose canvas simply because it is much easier to ship in that condition and it risks less damage. Then the buyer can choose whether to gallery-wrap or frame at his/her local framing shop. Let me add that the colors and quality of paint application are stunning in this work. Chris's talent is amazing. On Charlie Duke's webpage (charlieduke.com) he has this great quote of his: "It's hard to describe the vitality of darkness..." That blackness of space (I imagine) comes through pretty well on Calle's painting. |

By the way, folks, if you haven't heard, Chris told me that he's currently working on an Apollo 8 "Earthrise" painting for the upcoming Apollo 8 50th anniversary. How cool is that? Can't wait. |
