Deciding to part with one of the cornerstones of my collection: the Yuri Gagarin Kniga cover. I obtained this cover about ten years ago from another collector and is in perfect condition.

I am asking for $900 or best offer. If the original asking price is met, I will enclose the following as well:

  • a cover signed by Vostok 2 cosmonaut Titov (not Kniga)
  • a photo signed by Vostok 3 cosmonaut Nikolayev
  • a photo signed by Vostok 4 cosmonaut Popovich
  • a cover signed by BOTH Vostok 5 and 6 cosmonauts Bykovsky and Tereshkova (not Kniga)
That's right, all six autographs.

$10 shipping in the USA. $25 shipping International. Email me with questions. Thanks!

Is that the one that sold four years ago for $450?

Well, the only more recent sale seems to be just a few months ago, when a set of six signed Kniga covers sold at auction for $1,842. So based on that sale, $900 (including other cosmonauts' autographs, or best offer) for a definitely genuine autograph (lots of forgeries out there) of the first human in space (who passed away almost a half-century ago) is not unreasonable.

No, it was neither one of those sales. I have had it much longer than that and it was purchased stand alone. Believe me, I wish it was the full set of Kniga; if it was, I wouldn't be parting with it.

Thank you Steve for the info

I figured I would post a photo to help visualize what you'd receive:

Posted to eBay. However, would still prefer to sell to a cS member ASAP. Shoot me reasonable offers.

Thanks!

Gagarin was sold.

The other five are now on auction by themselves.

If a cS member wins the auction, FREE shipping. Just let me know you're a member when you check out. Thanks.
