Doubt it very much — he stopped signing anything in the early 80s so the SpaceShots cards fall just after he ceased signing. |

To my knowledge SpaceShots cards were made in 1990. |

Armstrong ceased signing most items mailed to him or presented to him in person circa 1994, though he began actively refusing requests in the years leading up to that (and, on rare occasions, made exceptions afterward). That aside, there were other reasons some astronauts took issue with autographing SpaceShots from the start, so it is less likely, though not impossible, that Armstrong signed one. |

My dad actively got these signed in late 1990. He did not receive Armstrong back but I'm sure that was due to his policy of one per person that he had at that time. I believe it is very possible to have one of these signed but most likely people would have mailed him an 8x10 instead. Anyways, keeping hope alive. |

Can you elaborate, Robert? My understanding of the SpaceShots controversy was that it didn't really come to light for a couple of years. This is the first I've heard of some having a problem with them from the get-go — in fact, some of the astronauts who went on to refuse to sign SpaceShots cards (i.e. Lovell and Cernan) did so because they were staunch supporters in the beginning who got burned. |

Granted it is third-hand information, but my understanding is that not every astronaut depicted on the cards was comfortable with using their image on commercial products in general or to raise funds for a cause (in this case, scholarships). I can't say if that applied to Armstrong, but certainly the later issues could have been a factor, too. |

Someone a few years back sold a bunch on eBay that included a John Young and Jim Irwin that I'd love to get. There's a remote possibility there was an Armstrong in that group but I can't confirm it. |

I've got a few Jim Irwin signed SpaceShots' cards, Mike, that I have kept all these years in my Irwin binders, however, let me check further to see if I could let go one of the signed cards. A few were signed for me in person when Irwin visited my home, I think, in l990 or early '91. |
