I am a charter subscriber to the Smithsonian's Air&Space magazine, and have every single issue since it was first issued in April 1986. Sometimes, things don't work out the way we had hoped, and I am in the process of packing everything up and moving. I had always planned to keep the magazines "forever," but that's a lot of weight. I'd like to get $600+ shipping. I'm not 100% sure that I want to let them go, but if you're interested, send me an offer. If it's reasonable, you will probably get the magazines. Most are in very good shape, a few have post office rash, but otherwise, are in the same condition as originally received. Shipping may be a bit pricey, but library or media rate should keep it manageable. Any questions? Just ask. Thank you very much. — Dave |

I don't think Media Rate applies to magazines with advertisements in them. Has anybody else heard this? |

Not sure about the specifics of ads vs. non-ads. If you're interested, contact me and we'll work something out. Thanks. |

In order to have a sense of the shipping costs, where are you located? |

Louisville, Kentucky. The issues are contained in two boxes — to give you an idea of the size, the boxes are from an office supply store and originally held reams of copy paper. |

I think you will run afoul of the ad issue if you attempt to ship Media Rate. I tried sending Regency Superior auction catalogs. They were inspected and returned to me. This left me out about $50 so I just gave up and discarded them. To avoid this you could show it to the PO prior to mailing them. |

I recently moved to the Houston TX area, and brought these magazines along. So if anyone from the Houston area is interested, let me know. There are a few more issues since I first posted this! |

I bought all missing issues of Air&Space on eBay last year. Cost me a little fortune on re-shipping as many sellers do not ship overseas. You could try to sell the whole lot, or by year or even better, by volume. |
