For sale on eBay is Gene Kranz' High School Paper from 1949.

This paper is a fascinating insight in to Gene’s subsequent career in Aviation and NASA. The paper is 16 pages in length with illustrations and detailed bibliography.
Each illustration is signed with young Gene’s signature and gives us a clear vision of how he pictured the Interplanetary Rocket detailed in this paper.

This artefact is a unique piece of Space history and will make a serious addition to any Space history collection. This paper comes with a letter of authenticity from Eugene F. Kranz himself.

That is an amazing item. While the most important thing I consider when collecting is "Do I like it?", I sometimes think if an item will be appreciated in hundreds of years. This document, from the dawn of space travel and created by the director on Earth of so many space milestones, certainly passes that test.

Thank you for your kind words. You've made me think twice about selling it now. 🤔

I wonder if the high school teacher that assigned a "98" to Gene on that paper would --- knowing the career Gene was to live out in the coming decades --- assign him a "100" A+ if he had it to do all over again.

Pretty cool item.

You would certainly hope so!!

I wonder what precluded it from getting 100? It awes me every time I look at it.

This is a great piece and it highlights the fact that it doesn't have to have flown to tell a fascinating story.

One thing you might consider is scanning it and making it available to teachers and schools as an example of where hard work and dedication can get you.

Just my personal opinion but I think you might regret parting with it.

Thank you for the advice. I keep getting told the same thing so I think I will end the item later today.

Regarding making copies/scans, I have done this with a high-end scanner which leads me to a potentially controversial idea: An awful lot of people have expressed interest in the paper so I was thinking of creating replicas of the items with a small watermark and making them available for a low price. I appreciate that this will drastically devalue my original but I'm okay with that so long as I know that I have the original.

Any/all thoughts on this would be welcome...
