My good friend and author extraordinaire Francis French will be signing copies of his newest book, "Apollo Pilot" in a private signing for Farthest Reaches. As usual at Farthest Reaches we always try to provide something a little extra when offering signed copies and this is no exception. We are most pleased to announce that Amy Shira Teitel, who has written this book's Historical Overview, has generously consented to hand sign copies being offered by Farthest Reaches as well. Amy is a respected science writer, spaceflight historian and co-host for the Discovery Channel's online DNews channel. She considers herself a self proclaimed "professional space history nerd" and that suits us just fine!! We are most grateful to Amy for offering to hand sign copies of "Apollo Pilot." I am taking pre-orders at this time. The book is priced at only $25.95 which is just a buck over cover price but hand signed by two, which you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else. Shipping will be as reasonable as possible:. Within the US via Media Mail: International locations (first class mail with certificate of mailing: - 1 copy = $26
- 2 copies = $38
For additional copies or other shipping requests, please ask for pricing. The above international prices were calculated to the UK and they seem to be about the same as most addresses overseas. If pricing is higher or lower we will adjust at time of order as I can't anticipate every possible shipping destination outside of the US. Packaging as you would expect from Farthest Reaches will be done to withstand a nuclear blast though I'm truly hoping nothing of the sort will actually happen. I have a good, though not unlimited supply of books, and so there is no limit for those of you who might enjoy ordering multiple copies. If interested, please send me your information. That is, how many copies and to what address I will be shipping. I will respond with the cost including shipping. My cell phone number is 310-892-5150. If questions, don't hesitate to let me know and I'll get back to your promptly. This book is not yet posted to my site but am taking orders at this time. No order is considered confirmed until payment is received. Thanks to all for your continued support! |

Please note above that price for shipping two copies to "Apollo Pilot" to the UK or most locations outside of the US has been reduced to $38 based upon weight of book. Correction has been made above in my original post. |

Pre-orders are still being accepted for the twice signed copy of "Apollo Pilot." The signing itself is taking place on Friday (Dec. 30) so if you'd like a particular personalization it's certainly not to late to make your request. This book is a steal and will rather unique with both Francis's and Amy's signatures. Best of all, the author's proceeds from his book sales are being donated to a cause that was near and dear to Susan Eisele Black. Email steve@farthestreaches.com or call 310.892.5150 to place your order. Thanks to all for your continued support. |

Hello everyone and Happy New Year 2017!! Just an update on our copies of "Apollo Pilot" hand signed by both Francis French and Amy Shira Teitel. The signing was fun and the books could not look nicer. Both Francis and Amy were kind enough to add generic inscriptions and date "12/30/16". Paid pre-orders are being shipped at this time in the order received. Copies are still available. All author proceeds for these books are being donated to a library reading program that was near and dear to Susan Eisele Black. To order your copy, visit farthestreaches.com and you'll find this book on our home page or email me. Lastly, Farthest Reaches is now on Twitter and I invite you to follow for updates that will be posted there regularly. You can find us at @FarthstReaches (no it isn't a typo... there's no "e" in my Twitter name). Thanks to all for your continued support.

Thanks so much to Steve Hankow and Farthest Reaches for supporting this labor of love in this way. I should mention, all proceeds for this book go to a library reading program chosen by the late Susie Eisele Black. And Steve Hankow is also offering this book at cost, so it's all for a good cause. Will you assist? Thanks so much!! |

As of Monday (1/23/17), ALL paid orders have been shipped. Signed copies are still available and can be purchased by contacting me or by visiting the "Signed Book" page at Farthest Reaches. Keep in mind these are being shipped via media mail so transit is usually 5-7 days. Thanks as always. (Follow Farthest Reaches on Twitter/Facebook by clicking on link at bottom of my home page.) |
