I'm trying to get hold of examples of Apollo matchbooks, cigarettes and ashtrays. Preferably with provenance. Thanks. |

I will look. I think I might still have a couple of matchbooks owned by Gene Cernan that I acquired in the early days of astro-auction garage sales. |

I have a complete set of the Apollo matchbooks in their original plastic case. I also have a few packs of ASTP cigarettes, let me know if you're interested. |

I also have a complete set of commemorative Apollo matchbook series distributed by RCA limited issue (#22982) in a plastic box. I also have a few loose Apollo matchbooks Apollo 11, 12, 15, 16, 17. |

I have an Apollo 7 matchbook hand signed by Wally Schirra from his personal collection. I also have an MCC ashtray for sale as well. I will email you photos later if interested or you may call me at 310-892-5150. Lastly I have matches galore. Different styles, different missions. |

Just to clarify the above post. A full set of RCA Apollo matchbooks sold for $8.00 on eBay. It includes one white gloss cover matchbook from Apollo 7 through 17 and comes in a plastic case. In good condition, these are a very nice set, $8.00 is a steal. However, these are not the gold finish embossed matchbooks shown above. |

I do not smoke, yet I nearly can smell it going through this posting, ha. Are matchbooks allowed to travel through the USPS mail? Amazing the variations. |

The USPS website lists strike anywhere matches as prohibited items. There is no mention of matchbooks so I think they are ok to ship. |
