***SOLD***Unencapsulated post-flight resected heatshield specimen with intact stainless substructure. Depth of ablation is an indicator heatshield was subjected to lunar mission reentry velocity (I was informed by the original owner that it originated from CM103 (Apollo 8). In contrast with other encapsulated examples, this artifact provides a good option to examine an Apollo heatshield artifact outside a lucite enclosure. $225 shipped U.S. only. |
