We're working on the second Mike Z auction and plan to offer 15 to 20 astronaut autographed items soon.

The highlight of auction is a much-desired Jim Irwin signed and personalized red numbered white spacesuit portrait (WSS). As we know, Jim Irwin WSS inscribed signed photos are rarely available and are often the last WSS needed by many to complete the very popular moonwalker WSS set. This will be a chance to obtain one of these elusive moonwalker WSSs.

Also of special note, is a nice Jack Schmitt WSS ISP and WSS SPs by Mike Collins and Jim Lovell and an Alan Shepard WSS ISP. Other special autographed items will be listed soon.

This is our second auction of selected autograph material from long-time collector Mike Zolotorow to aid his widow, Phyllis. She will receive 100% of the sale amounts.

We have 14 lots of excellent autograph material available this time, including a Jim Irwin WSS ISP; an Ilan Ramon ISP; a Mike Collins WSS SP; a Jack Schmitt WSS ISP, and a very desirable Dave Scott signed GT-8 related NASA red numbered glossy, picturing both Scott and Armstrong in Gemini space suits.

All but the Irwin will have minimum bids (MB) without reserves, while the Irwin will have a reserve.

Scans are available and bid increments are $25. Shipments will be via Priority Mail with signature confirmation ($9.00) and payment by Paypal to Phyllis' Paypal account.

The auction begins now and ends on Saturday, June 4th, at 5:00 PM EDT.

  • Lot 1 Jim Irwin WSS red numbered glossy ISP, ($3,500 BID, reserve met).

  • Lot 2 Ilan Ramon (STS-107 PS) ISP, ($650 BID)

  • Lot 4 Jim Lovell WSS SP, MB 150

  • Lot 5 Jack Schmitt WSS ISP, ($150 BID)

  • Lot 6 Mike Collins WSS SP. This is a privately printed litho and slightly smaller than standard, with some slight condition issues; ask for scan, MB $250

  • Lot 7 Buzz Aldrin WSS ISP. This is a privately printed litho and slightly smaller than standard, with a slight paperclip scrape at top center; ask for scan, MB $200

  • Lot 8 Dave Scott WSS SP NASA glossy (71-HC-1463), ($150 BID)

  • Lot 9 Frank Borman Apollo 8 Earthrise, with "God Bless..." inscription, ($125 BID)

Please excuse my ignorance. Is this through an auction house, eBay, just here on cS, through emails to that email? Assuming also winning bids done by PayPal, but submitting a bid on PayPal?

Sorry, should have indicated that all bids should be emailed to me, Bob, and I will do my best to keep the bid amount for each lot up-to-date here. But I will only be on the internet occasionally, but will update bids when I can.

And to prevent last second/minute sniping, I'll contact any bidder who has been outbid in the last minutes of the auction and give them a chance to increase their bid by at least $25.

Thank you for all the nice comments we've received relating to this auction benefiting Phyllis Zolotorow.

We have added two more lots to the Mike Z Auction: a very impressive Gemini-Titan II NASA glossy launch photo signed by Tom Stafford, with Stafford adding "Best wishes" and a Charlie Duke WSS NASA glossy SP, with "Apollo 16" added.

The Jim Irwin WSS ISP has received a bid of $3,500 and has reached its reserve. Any additional bids on it should be at $100 increments.

Thank you and the auction closes Saturday, at 5:00 PM EDT.

Lot 12 — Dave Scott red numbered — is a really neat item. Too bad Neil has passed and didn't sign it.

With just over 30 minutes to go until the 2nd Mike Z Auction closes, seven of the 14 lots have bids, with Lot 1, the Irwin WSS ISP at $3,500 and with Lot 2, the Ilan Ramon ISP, at $650.

Lot 3, Shepard WSS ISP, is at $225; Lot 5, Jack Schmitt WSS ISP at $150; Lot 9; Frank Borman Earthrise at $125; Lot 10, John Young at $100; and Lot 11 is now at $325, the Swigert signed Saturn V configured for the Skylab OWS launch, which has drawn the most interest.

The Mike Z Auction #2 is over and all bids are in. Thank you for your bids and winners will be contacted very soon.

Just a quick total looks like the eight lots that sold in this 2nd MZ auction resulted in over $5,000 for Mrs. Z.

Thanks to everyone! MZ Auction #3 will begin in about 2 weeks.
